ChildNET partners with the Escondido Union School District (EUSD) State Preschool through the Vista Hill Foundation.

About ChildNET

  • ChildNET provides free support for young children (ages 0–5) and their families.

  • The ChildNET team helps children build skills such as:

    • Getting along with others

    • Feeling comfortable at school

    • Managing big feelings

  • These services are funded by the County of San Diego and are free for families with Medi-Cal or no insurance.

Services and Supports Offered by ChildNET

  • Assessment services

  • Individual therapy and family therapy

  • Case management

  • Incredible Years® small group services

  • Incredible Years® parenting classes

  • Consultation with the program psychiatrist (as clinically appropriate and with parent permission)

Incredible Years® Curriculum

The ChildNET team is specially trained in the Incredible Years® curriculum and uses friendly puppets, including Dino the Dinosaur, Wally, and Molly, who represent school-aged children. These puppets help teach children important lessons about:

  • Following school rules

  • Friendship

  • Problem solving

  • Sharing feelings and how to manage them

  • Having a positive attitude about learning and school
